During regular tummy time, she can probably hold her head up for longer periods as well. What to expect

  • Your 5-week-old baby may begin to sleep longer - perhaps up to six hours - during nights. Good times.

To encourage sleep and teach her to doze off on her own, put her to bed when she’s awake but sleepy, give her milk under dimmed lights, and refrain from playing or talking.
